How to embed your chatcave.me chat room into your website
#1
You can embed your chat rooms easily into your forums or websites via an iframe. Simply replace the default chat URL with your own and you'll be good to go! Big Grin

Quote:<div id='chat' style="width: 100%; min-width: 768px">
<center>
<iframe style="margin: auto auto;" height="640" width="95%" frameborder="0" src="http://chatcave.me/chat/default/index.php" seamless></iframe></center>
</div>
<br>

<a href="http://chatcave.me/chat/default/index.php" target="_blank">Open in fullscreen mode. </a>

Thank you very much for this service and the code.  I was able to successfully embed my chat link in my forum in less than a minute and it's working wonderfully. Smile

Haha excellent, glad to hear it. If you need any help or have any questions, feel free to post around the forums. (May not look all that active, but I definitely check daily. Tongue)

I realize this is an old post, but my question is exactly this and this answers my question partly.... where would I put that code to get it to work? As I am wanting to post the chat box (different ones) in different threads on my forums.

Example: Chatroom one is one page one
Chatroom two is on page two
So on and so forth

Well, the main problem with embedding it on a forum page is that you would need your software to support HTML for it to work. If it supports HTML, you could just paste it straight into a post, but most forum softwares, including MyBB, don't really allow that out of the box for security reasons. Of course you can usually find plugins to enable it, but whether or not the allowed tags are limited by those plugins is another question.

What software are you using? If you're using MyBB, you could probably set up a new MyCode from the ACP for this fairly easily.

As far as embedding different chat rooms on different pages, you're more than welcome to create multiple chat rooms. You'll just have to embed them separately. The nickname registration would be separate for each chat room, which would be the only real limitation. Besides that, we of course have no issues with communities creating multiple chat rooms to meet their needs.
